The board itself is split into regions: Europe, Africa, Asia, the Indian Ocean, the North Pacific, Australia, the South Pacific, North America, South America, the North Atlantic and the South Atlantic. Disasters will take place in these regions so, for example, the End of Road disaster requires one player to travel to Asia and then attempt to solve the problem. Averting a crisis is done by rolling two six-sided dice and then attempting to equal or beat the targetnumber on the top of the disaster card, CALLING INTERNATIONAL RESCUE! Fireflash, the hypersonic airliner has a bomb in the landing gear! The Crablogger is on a collision course with the San Martino Dam! Sun Probe is out of control!

Okay, I’ll admit it. I love the Thunderbirds telly series. It was a huge part of my childhood. I was consistently entranced by the sequences where they get into the Thunderbirds and set off on a mission. The pool opening up for Thunderbird 1, the palm trees flopping over for Thunderbird 2, the fun never ends. I’m not put off by the marionettes either. Gerry Anderson’s team restricted themselves and worked around these limitations in a stunningly creatively fashion. So, before I go on for another 15,000 hours just bear in mind in the following review that I love, love, love Thunderbirds. What Do I Do On My Turn captures the essence of the television series perfectly. Being a member of International Rescue is a tough job and as you’re speeding round the globe around the corner.
