A celebration of independence, from the country and the culture of the free, the outspoken, the lively, the confident.Appleton Special was my rum of choice for years and I was very happy to find that it had not been discontinued as I first thought. The unique golden colours and sweet nutty flavours in Kingston 62 are created through a combination of secret blending techniques and the wooden oak barrel ageing processes Jamaica.

It has a strong nose with tropical fruit and warming ginger and cinnamon spice, but a delicate and smooth flavour with vanilla notes creeping in on the finish. It is these attributes that have made Jamaicans resilient since 1962 when independence from the United Kingdom was secured.
