About this deal

However, she never lets the role degenerate to the role of stereotype, as she makes Torrance bubbly and believable as a cheerleader but also adds depth to her.

But you never know, if the movie came out and tanked, I could have gone to Universal Home Video and said, Hey! As if having to find new cheers were not enough trouble, Torrance also has romantic decisions to make: She has to choose between her oily but pretty current boyfriend and Missy's less popular but rocking brother, Cliff (Jesse Bradford). All in all, I really enjoyed this commentary; it was an almost-shockingly compelling affair and it stands as one of the best tracks I’ve heard recently. It must have been a real thrill to have been directing some of the cream of the crop from the field of 17- 20 year old up and coming stars. When you were casting the roles for this movie, to what extent was there an athleticism requirement? And the fact that the movie never wavered from its position that to these girls (and some guys) cheerleading was very important. It wasn't really until we got to the cutting room that we were pulling scenes aside and began to really get ready for the DVD. The dialogue was appropriately bad and yes, cheesy enough to make you wish that it were serious and deep. Both the stripper try out and the bikini car wash were so remincent of '80's teen movies, we needed the music to match that tone. Torrance has no intention of cheating her way to the win, so she must start from scratch to come up with something new that will knock the judges' sock off and impress the competition.

They stretch together in a rather intimate manner, and one indicates that they should consider joining the squad.

The guys from Warrant are probably going to show up at my house and kick my ass for saying how much. I've scoured the internet for any mention of this movie going out of production-google, duckduckgo, reddit. The Toro cheerleading squad has spirit; spunk; sass and a killer routine that's sure to land them the national championship trophy for the sixth year in a row. Having watched it countless times since then including a re-purchase on Blu-Ray recently, I'm concluding that it was aimed at a mass teen audience but also done a little tongue in cheek.
