About this deal

One more thing: the water used in cosmetics is purified and deionized (it means that almost all of the mineral ions inside it is removed). You’ll learn why you must use a conductive gel with microcurrent, how they work, what alternatives you can try and how they compare to the Nuface gels.

Infused with the youth-prolonging benefits of hydrating hyaluronic acid, algae and peptides, this perfect primer will supercharge your treatment.

While the aloe does act as conductor- I don't know that it carries current deep enough to maintain lasting results. Such gels are advertised for pain relief in TENS machines, muscle stimulation in EMS machines, and for cosmetic devices such as microcurrent too. The perfect partner for each of the devices, this Hydrating Aqua Gel ensures optimal microcurrent conductivity while quenching your skin with up to 24-hour hydration. Just mix your sessions-worth of gel with a teeny pinch of table salt, or posh Himalayan Pink salt for something purer. These range from added salts and minerals, acids and alkalines, buffering ingredients, and special polymer substances which create thick and gooey gels, and also carry a charge so easily pass microcurrent.

I've been using NuFACE's Mini for four years and have tried loads of different facial gels, plus the Silk Cremé in the range, and none of them are as effective as the Aqua Gel for me. These older gels also contain ions and skincare goodies, the 24K Gold gels being more actives-packed and expensive.I’ve taken a bunch of before pictures and am looking forward to comparing them to photos a few months down the line. I’m always trying to strike that balance between loving myself exactly as I am flaws and all and indulging in the sometimes expensive fixes that make me feel more comfortable and confident. We’ll take a look at other conductivity gels later, but next let’s look at the Nuface Activators in more detail.

Having specialised in microcurrent facials, aesthetician-turned-NuFACE founder Carol Cole developed a line of non-invasive tools that have the impact of a lift (without the downtime). I have tried to use cheaper alternatives for my Nu Face because I like to rinse the product after use, but I never get as good results. If you wanna become a real HA-and-the-skin expert, you can read much more about the topic at hyaluronic acid (including penetration-questions, differences between high and low molecular weight versions and a bunch of references to scientific literature). This creates several more parallel current circuits, so there are more pathways for the microcurrent to travel through.

But full discolsure 🙋‍♀️, I’m not one of these people who has ever seen more ‘pop’ or lift of their facial features during or after a session. First, a slippery gel helps the big-balls Nuface Trainer attachment glide smoothly over your skin without dragging.

Since its first post in 2010, it has aimed to be a daily source of inspiration for the modern woman. I squeeze a little out with my right hand onto the back of my left hand and apply it to my face and neck from there a little at a time. If you are on a budget, the attachments are more of a nice to have, so you could totally just go for the mini. But there are several other possible conductive ingredients which could be present, such as Sodium Hydroxide. You can usually find it right in the very first spot of the ingredient list, meaning it’s the biggest thing out of all the stuff that makes up the product.Created with the powerful combination of hyaluronic acid and glacial water, this hydrating gel is uniquely designed with NuFACE IonPlex™, so the youth-prolonging microcurrents are effectively delivered to the skin’s surface and down to the muscle. Crafted with an innovative cocktail of hyaluronic acid, glacial water and NuFACE's IonPlex™, this nourishing formula can be used with and without your device to reveal supple, beautifully soft skin. That’s a neat idea, especially if you’re addicted to at home beauty devices and have several of them! I don’t want to push if it makes the skin saggy, but then, I am wondering how it works if we don’t push the skin/muscles up higher and if we’re only lightly going over the top of the skin.
