He isn't wearing a British uniform. The basic 60s Action Man came with a very basic American GI uniform, and that's what this one is wearing, without his cap. The basic Action Man, without optional accessories, didn't even have a helmet. All the uniforms were American, and your basic Action Man came as Army, Navy or Air Force, but all were American uniforms. And all the accessories were American too. Only in the late 60s did Palitoy produce a range of uniforms, to be bought as accessories, of different WWII armies. There was a British rival, made by Pedigree and called Tommy Gunn, but he was never as successful as Action Man, and didn't have such a big range of accessories. Action Man was an animated series that aired from 1995-1997. It was produced by Mainframe Entertainment and originally aired in syndication. The show follows the adventures of the 'Action Man,' a soldier whose real name is Ian Noble. He and his team of international agents, known as the Action Force, fight against the evil organization, Venom, headed by the villainous Doctor X. The team travels the world to stop Venom's nefarious plans, using high-tech gadgets and vehicles to help them along the way. The villains of the show are equally as interesting as the heroes. Doctor X is the head of Venom, a shadowy organization hell-bent on taking over the world. He is a mastermind with an army of loyal minions at his disposal. He is aided by his second-in-command, Baroness, a femme fatale with a cunning mind and deadly skills. The Baroness is joined by her partner-in-crime, the shape-shifting creature named Professor Gangrene. Together, these villains make for formidable foes for the Action Force. In 2001, the show won a Golden Camera Award at the U.S. and International Film and Video Festival for 'Best Animation' in the episode "The Swarm: Part 2".

And it's not long until they infect big air and take out the electrics while being on auto pilot. It's up to Alex to try and get rid of the NTB's from big air as well as prevent them from being shot down for entering restricted military air space. As a postscript, although Palitoy ceased production of Action Man in the early 1980s and indeed went out of business in 1986, Hasbro went on to produce Action Man, based on the British idea!

The animation in the show is top-notch, with fluid movement and detailed character designs. The action sequences are particularly impressive, with lots of explosions, fights, and intense moments that will keep viewers on the edge of their seats. The cinematography is also noteworthy, with dynamic camera angles and interesting shot compositions that make every scene visually stimulating. The original Action Man was based on a real soldier in the British army and came complete with a scar on his cheek.Action Man is the iconic British boy's toy of the 1960s and 70s. He was designed and produced in Coalville, Leics. by Palitoy Ltd. However he was based on a toy, GI Joe, produced by the USA company Hasbro and many of his parts were manufactured in the Far East. He exemplifies the move towards a globally based system of mass production in the 1960s.Hasbro Interactive published the Windows game Action Man: Raid on Island X in the United States as a tie-in to the TV series, despite having nothing to do with it. The Action Man Underwater Explorer was launched in 1970 (following on from the success of the Navy Frogman and Deep Sea Diver of the 1960s) and was available with many new accessory sets - representing a comprehensive underwater adventure toy. The Underwater Explorer is missing from the 1975 and 1976 Equipment Manuals but is included in all until the end of Palitoy in 1984. There were variations to the main outfit and modifications throughout a long run. However the Treasure Hunter and Underwater Film Unit sets and individual accessories had short runs of a year or two and can be considered rare. The culmination of the experiments was to mind transfer Dr. X into Brandon's body, becoming his younger self & nanotech cyborg, able to change his appearance and infect others. Following the ninth episode the series becomes more simplified. Dr. X founded the Council of Doom with his evil cohorts: assassin Asazi and weather manipulating scientist Tempest. Dr. X's nanotech trilobites appeared to gain collective intelligence and rebel against him, but this was actually Brandon Caine's uploaded mind punishing Dr. X.
