About this deal

Thanks for the reply. I know it seems crazy! There are tons of people saying the arctic 420 wont fit at all let alone with tubes down. You're picture is literally the only one on the internet I could find with it working. AL-18 supports PWM functions and has a rotational speed between 300 and 1200 RPM max. And producing 43.1 – 146.8 CFM with 0.44 – 2.50 mmH2O static pressure respectively. Hardware Installation and Clearance Compatibility of the Fractal Design Torrent Case Like your current setup, I only have 2 140mm fans at the bottom, as the tubes/hoses from the AIO and the radiator is obstructing the last slot. Might be that the o11 is simply a much much larger case. More surface area, made of aluminum, larger interior takes longer to heat up. Just making guesses. either put the 38mm depth radiator inside the 140mm fans panel (in front of the radiator at the right of the last picture),

CPU temps you can take at face value, that you won't be able to brute-force, or differently optimize much better, but GPU temp is another matter. Taking GPU temp for the standardized + noise-normalized test and cross-referencing it is a good clue what to expect, but figuring out the pros and cons of your own setup you can optimized it way further. It's just that it is physically impossible to standardize a methodology that replicates how much each user can optimized their setup with better static pressure fans, and better taped around and parts removed from their case, there's just too many variables. I'm well aware. I believe it's better to be moving hot air out just as fast as pushing cooler air in. Mixing cool air with the hot will not produce optimal results. Sorry about the delay. I've taken a few pictures, and still consider making a short death-by-powerpoint-presentation-video of the build. Picture with first timer cable management horror scene (but wait to find out how this AIO is held in place)From my perspective, the Torrent case is already intended to be an "over-pressure" design, and I therefore don't see the point in removing or flipping the bottom fans/mesh. The Torrent is a high-performance PC case designed entirely around the objective of delivering the highest possible airflow out-of-the-box with conflict-free support for high-end hardware with unconventionally large cooling solutions. The CPU tests also were in the top 1%, if not chart topping (In the case of the blender CPU Render test) of all the metrics as well. The non-RGB version is also a solid panel variant. Its refreshing to see a high-end well designed case thats design stands on its own and doesn’t have to resort to being a a show piece for your hardware. i think both dust filters on both of of the case should be fine i think? but i think he would remove them for testing?

i have a problem with this guess. the augment here is the o11 XL vs the torrent and gpu temps. both case intake from the bottom but the 011xl the front intake as to do a 90 degree well the torrent dose not have to do that so...the torrent should win the cpu cooling test. The installation of the components was fairly simple in the Fractal Torrent. The case is spacious enough so that pretty much everything you can throw at it, will fit. In this build, I am using an ATX motherboard with two RTX 3060 video cards and a Cooler Master Hyper Evo 212 air cooler. Overall customization and ease of use of the Fractal Torrent are very easy and impressive on how much space you have to work with. Technical Specifications of the Fractal Design Torrent Case Dedicated 3.5” drive mounts There are sufficient openings around the motherboard tray for tidy cable routing, and the larger openings have rubber grommets. Component clearance inside the chamber is excellent, with space for giant CPU coolers up to 188 mm (7.40 inches) tall and GPUs up to 423 mm (16.65 inches) in length with the front fans in place. Power supply clearance is similarly massive, with units up to 230 mm (9.06 inches) supported in the top-mount chamber.the Cooler Master MasterCase SL600M being the king when it comes to gpu air flow as you get 2 massive fans blowing on the gpu. but dose vary pore with a cpu tower cooler and the top is closed off mostly... so an top aio would be ideal in that case and passably mod the top panel. I have a Thermaltake W100. Changed the left side door to the same as the right side door and added and extra 4 fans. Total 13 fans (counting rad), with negative air flow. In the pic you posted the bottom front fan would need be removed. Also better to have hoses at bottom in my opinion and testing. Tubes up air tends to circulates through the pump and this will get worse over time as fluid evapoates. Standout features include a newly designed component layout with top-mounted PSU compartment and full E-ATX/SSI-EEB support, large open front grille and bottom intakes, and most notably of all, two 180 x 38 mm Dynamic X2 PWM or Prisma ARGB PWM fans (both developed and released in tandem with the Torrent). Another three 140 mm PWM fans come pre-installed in the base for a total of five. Front Intake is still better for the GPU, because a sufficient high flow of air will push out the hot air faster above adn below the gpu, and stop the GPU fans from recycling the hot air exhaused by the gpu (and yes i know air doesn't get pushed, and that it's heat displacement, but it's easier to explain this way xD)

Fractal Torrent Review – The Ultimate Air-Cooled Case Fractal Torrent Review – The Ultimate Air-Cooled Case

The 180mm fans are shelf-surfers, for now... I think they are rated 50-150CFM whereas the 140mm are rated 30-110CFM, so the total volume is more or less the same, with a theoretically increased static pressure.I really like the design of fractals new torrent case the only thing that i really question is the decision they made to put the PSU above the motherboard resulting in no ability to put a radiator in the top of the case (really the only good place to put one for cpu cooling?) The case is quiet when running and occasionally you may hear the fan ramp up a bit but not to the point is an annoying sound. It actually have a nice sound coming out of it that is pleasing to my hears. Building the case was easy and did not take too long to do so. I like that it has filling port holes build for custom water cooling and that it support a bunch of difference size radiators. The case has a very strong air pressure that I do not even need a rear fan installed. I will post my build later on, only wish I had custom cables to make the build look way better but it is what it is. XD And the front 2x Noctua intake is paramount for a standardized proper methodology, but while it make work good in one case with one GPU, it probably won't in another. Storage support is good with the Torrent, as it offers dedicated mounts for 4x 2.5-inch drives and 2x 3.5-inch drives behind the system. The layout is a little different, however, at least for 3.5 inch drives. Built to maximize cooling potential straight out of the box, the Torrent comes with a brand-new component layout and two custom-made 180 x 38 mm Dynamic PWM or Prisma RGB PWM fans. The Torrent is a perfect fit for anyone serious about high-end cooling – with or without a custom water loop.

But yeah too many fans in general, and too many bottom fans with weak static pressure is not ideal and messes with the airflow.ii think both dust filters on both of of the case should be fine i think? but i think he would remove them for testing?. Open layout with expansive base intakes and extra-large bottom fan support offers exceptional GPU cooling Removable top bezel and cable guides with cable straps make for easy installation and cable management If the interior is metal but the exterior is plastic it would act as an insulator. There wouldn’t be cooling via that route. Interesting that one has a higher interior volume when it looks like a much smaller interior volume. Perhaps it’s the PSU basement that does that.
