About this deal

Not sure if this is by design or a bug or just not possible to manually turn on the wi-fi of the 3000 without it being connected via cable. (assuming this feature works when connected via cable – haven't tested it). In Sept 2018 AVM announced a new FRITZ!Repeater 3000 with 3 WLAN modules and two 1 Gbit ports as a stand-alone model: Three wireless radio units: 1,733 Mbit/s + 866 Mbit/s (5 GHz) + 400 Mbit/s (2.4 GHz) for the optimal supply of multiple wireless devices

Connect your FRITZ!Repeater to your FRITZ!Box via Wi-Fi to increase the Wi-Fi range of your home network easily and efficiently. If you are using a FRITZ!Box with FRITZ!OS 7 or later, the FRITZ!Repeater is automatically integrated into the Mesh and marked in the FRITZ!Box user interface with the Mesh symbol . The FRITZ!Repeater then adopts all of the settings from the FRITZ!Box, such as Wi-Fi access information and guest access. In the Mesh, your wireless devices automatically connect to the wireless access point that offers the best Wi-Fi reception. Have you configured the region for Aust? Have you configured it via ethernet to connect over WiFi? Can you see the WiFi band that you want to connect to? Have a bit of a think about it for a moment...............If the 3000 WiFi is disabled, how would it detect the 7490 WiFi is enabled? I retried over 5 times going through the same reset procedure culminating in a reboot loop. At this stage I thought it may have died but decided to leave it off for half an hour and try again. The Connect LED now indicates by alternately flashing and lighting up that the factory settings are being loaded and that the FRITZ!Repeater is being restarted. This process may take several minutes. In combination with FRITZ! Box WLAN routers and their feature-rich firmware FRITZ! OS 6.90, the FRITZ! Repeater 3000 can be connected to a WLAN mesh network. This guarantees an uninterrupted connection when changing the end device from the connection between router and repeater, even videos or music continue to run smoothly. Alternatively, the repeater can also be connected to the router via a LAN cable and then used as an access point. Changed country and language settings of the FRITZ!Box (Mesh Master) are automatically transmitted to the FRITZ!Repeater I have just change the repeater to which the 5 gig connects and now I can see all devices on the 5 gig band (and 1 external 5 gig) – I could not see that last night.

In this guide we show you how to easily connect your FRITZ!Repeater with your FRITZ!Box at the touch of a button (WPS - Push Button Configuration). Yes, the was the point of my original question as I wasn't sure if the communication between the 7490 and 3000 was entirely based on the same wi-fi that gets turned on & off. Yesterday I decided to bite the bullet and bought a Fritz Repeater 3000 from PLE, the last one in Perth. Improved** When the repeater is integrated into the Mesh by first pressing the button on the FRITZ!Box and then the button on the repeater, successful integration is signaled by the LED on the repeater flashing briefly Am I going crazy? I am just doing a bit of maintenance and trying to save the setting on the 3000 – simples? I cannot for the life of me locate the, from the manual:_Thanks to 802.11ac technology, the FRITZ! Repeater 1200 offers fast AC WLAN speeds of up to 1733 Mbit / s in the 5 GHz frequency band and up to 400 Mbit / s in the 2.4 GHz frequency band. This repeater is even equipped with a second WLAN 5 GHz radio unit, which offers transmission speeds of up to 866 Mbit / s. Thanks to this high WLAN performance, the user can enjoy smooth online gaming, faster surfing on the Internet and other bandwidth-hungry applications without any cable connections. If you are using a FRITZ!Box with FRITZ!OS 7 or later, the FRITZ!Repeater is integrated into the Mesh and marked in the FRITZ!Box user interface with the Mesh symbol . The FRITZ!Repeater then adopts all of the settings from the FRITZ!Box, such as Wi-Fi access information and guest access. In the Mesh, your wireless devices automatically connect to the wireless access point that offers the best Wi-Fi reception. Within 2 minutes: Push and hold down the Connect button on the FRITZ!Box until the Connect LED (see table) lights up. Other LEDs may also light up: FRITZ!Box model With a push of a button on the repeater's WPS (Wi-Fi Protected Setup) button, it automatically connects to an existing network with a FRITZ! Box. Alternatively, the FRITZ! Repeater 3000 can be set up and configured via the web-based and convenient user interface. Of course, the repeater supports the highest Just set-up access profiles for their individual devices and leave the Wi-Fi on fulltime for everyone else?

Support for the simplified replacement of a FRITZ!Box with new wizard (FRITZ!Box with FRITZ!OS 7.55) With Mesh WiFi you can combine several wireless access points into one intelligent system (FRITZ!OS 6.90 and later) Find out more at en.avm.de/mesh Mit Mesh genießen Sie ganz einfach Höchstgeschwindigkeit bei Surfen, Video oder Gaming. AVM have confirmed that this is a mesh throughput bug in the latest 7.50 firmware release for the repeater. you want to extend your home network in a specific direction beyond the Wi-Fi range of the existing Mesh Repeater. Yesterday? I have been running this for a few weeks actually. I don't understand why https://en.avm.de/fritz-lab/f resh-from-development/fresh-from-development/ still shows an older beta. If you are using a FRITZ!Box with FRITZ!OS 7 or later, the FRITZ!Repeater is automatically integrated into the FRITZ! Mesh during setup. The FRITZ!Repeater adopts all of the FRITZ!Box's Wi-Fi settings, such as access information and guest access, and can be used directly by all of the wireless devices in the home network. Perhaps a factory defaults reset of the 3000 , then remove it from the MESH and re-imclude it using WPS on both your 3000 and 7490.It should simply search for the mesh master and auto connect. Mine takes about a minute from power-up. the existing repeater is a Mesh Repeater, regardless of whether it is a FRITZ!Repeater, FRITZ!Powerline device or FRITZ!Box. I see AVM now have the 6000 repeater – WiFi 6 (and the 7590 ax). I still do not yet see a need (YMMV) to go out and update just to get WiFi 6 (and the bragging rights lol...). My repeater was updated to 7.27 a long time ago and is working in MESH to a 7590, that is in MESH to a 6890.
